Doctor-Patient Relationship
Doctors are people who do their job with honor for their patients. However, some things can affect them while performing their profession. Their working environment, the region they live in, the general patient population, their families, and even themselves can deeply affect them. Perhaps the most impressive of these factors is the special relationships he/she establishes with the patients he/she treats. Such relationships can start with the doctor-patient relationship. Then by the time some of them may turn into various relationships (eg, love)
Disease-treatment relationship
The doctor-patient relationship is actually a reflection of the disease-treatment relationship. This relationship often begins and ends in the clinic. It is a normal relationship in the normal course of life. It is also common for this relationship to sometimes spread outside the healthcare facility. For example, a patient can see his/her doctor outside the clinic and ask him/her something about his/her health. In this case, the patient’s sincerity with the doctor or how much the doctor will remember him/her is at the forefront. Or the patient does not have even the slightest intimacy with the doctor. Perhaps the doctor will never even remember him/her. However, patients are obliged to ask for something because of their health concerns.
Insidious and self-seeking purposes
The patient can communicate with the doctor outside the clinic to keep the relationship warm for various purposes. Apart from insidious and self-seeking purposes, we can accept these situations as normal in our society.
Doctor-patient relationships
Apart from the doctor-patient relationship, there are also special relationships established between the doctor and the patient. It does not matter whether such relationships are in or out of the clinic. These relationships can also occur during or after a doctor’s visit. These types of private relationships are more popular in society. Often they are the subject of novels, TV series, and movies.
Doctors spend their business lives taking care of the patients. Despite this, they cannot get close enough to establish a special relationship with someone who comes to them as a patient. Because patient density, occupational requirements, and medical ethics which is the most important can prevent this. However, if the patient is of the kind they like, if they have sincere feelings and special attention towards their patients, over time their relationship with the patient shifts to a different medium. Through today’s social media (it used to be through someone), it can turn into love or relationship.
Doctor and the patient’s relatives
Doctor-patient relationships will not necessarily be established in the clinics corridor, in the examination room or on the operating table. They may also be established outside the clinic. Furthermore, the establishment of special relationship between the doctor and the patient’s relatives is also quite common.
The true story about the interesting relationship
The true story of relationships that started like this is what most people dream of. I can tell you about such an incident that I personally witnessed. A surgeon, one of my first-degree relatives, married his own patient, who was a teacher by profession. He had met the patient while she was on the surgical operating table. Their relationship improved after surgery and during the recovery period. The social network helped a lot in getting to know each other better. Currently, they have a child and a happy marriage. I wish everyone happiness in love and family life.
